STAGE 1: Adjustable Height & Shock suspension 150mm of
progressive travel with spring assisted damper which
helps reduce risks of whiplash. 75mm height adjustment
which incorporates automatic Body Mass Index compensation
for weight when height of seat base is increased.
Three stage adjustable shock absorber for different
weights.
STAGE 2: Shuffle System (Side to
side movement) Mitigates longitudinal and lateral
impacts in three dimensions. Reduces small amplitude
frequencies which cause stress and fatigue.
STAGE 3: Seat/Mitigation
Foam Protects Vertical impact to coccyx. Seat design
and ToughTec neoprene aids Neutral Spine position.
Mitigation Foam Insulates multi requency vibration.

new SHOCK MITIGATION SEATING range.
We
have been manufacturing seating for over 12 years mainly
for commercial vehicles, minibuses, taxis, fire engines,
trains and various military vehicles. Over the past 5-6
years we have also been manufacturing seats for boats, mainly
for Redbay boats. These seats have mainly been helmsman
and passenger seats for their cabin ribs which we had been
fitting on KAB air bases. Due to the problems with these
bases constantly breaking we have been looking at designing
our own suspension / shock mitigation base for our seats.
Over the past 12 months we have been gathering information
together from boat builders and users to assist us in building
our new Shock Mitigation Seating System.
Our new seats give the user 3 forms of Shock Mitigation
not just one as per other shock mitigation seats currently
available. We have the standard up and down movement which
is done with a progressive spring assisted damper, incorporated
in a swingarm system. Above this we have installed a shuffle
suspension system which allows for some sideways movement
which reduces the side jerks and twists that are a major
cause of injuries. Finally we have Mitigation foam fitted
in the base of the seat which works as the final part of
shock mitigation system.
Our seats when fitted in a boat are suitable for people
of all shapes and sizes due to our height adjustment system
(operated by turning a knob on the back of seat) and our
adjustable damper.
New Products
Scotseats are well on our way to designing a revolutionary
new suspension jockey seat for high speed ribs.
This will be available in the next few weeks at a price
you can afford.
We are also designing a new suspension base that can be
retrofitted to your existing floor pods.
In the next 3 months we should also have available a new
Carbon Fibre Helmsman seat at a ground breaking weight.

Commercial Boat Seating Division
We build a specialist range of seating for commercial boats with
zinc coated the powder coated frames, or even aluminium frames.
Them finished in marine quality vinyls with either 3 point seat
belts or 4 point harnesses.
