Full Time Purchasing Administrator

We are currently seeking to recruit a Purchasing Administrator.  This is a full-time position. Hours would be 39.5 per week, working Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm and Friday 8am – 1.30pm. We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and professional candidate to support our office-based team. Candidate must have their own transport.

Key duties include:

  • Place and manage purchase orders using SAGE purchase order processing (POP)
  • Manage order requisition process
  • Planning and scheduling
  • Checking, authorising and coding purchase invoices
  • Follow up orders to ensure materials are shipped and delivered on agreed dates
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure appropriate documentation in place
  • Keep colleagues up to date with status of orders
  • Filing
  • Liaising with a variety of departments
  • Telephone/Reception duties

For this role you must have the following:

  • Purchasing Experience
  • Fully conversant in purchase order processing using SAGE
  • Planning and scheduling experience
  • IT literate with extensive knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Proficient in the use of SAGE 50
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional telephone manner
  • Have a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Excellent multitasker
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Takes ownership of work
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Self-motivated
  • Work to deadlines
