Scot Seats KPM Marine to Sponsor Industry Workshops

Scot Seat have announced that they will be one of the key sponsors at an industry workshop event being run in Southampton from 24th-26th October 20117.  The workshops are being led by John Haynes, the Managing Director of Shock Mitigation.  John was awarded Maritime Professional of the Year at the Seawork event last year for his extensive work in the maritime industry, which has included chairing many industry events and conferences as well as setting up working groups.

The event, which will focus on Sub IMO/Sub 24 Metre sector craft will take the form of a series of three workshops which run at the Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton.  The workshop titles are:

  • Next Generation: Shock Mitigation Solutions
  • Next Generation: RIB & HSC High Speed Craft
  • Next Generation: Systems Safety and Equipment

The workshops are designed for marine professionals from operators to boat builders, naval architects to equipment manufactures to share knowledge and network. The content to be discussed also covers a wide range of vessels including workboats, pilot boats, patrol craft, wind farm support vessels, survey vessels, superyacht tenders and unmanned craft. 

Scot Seat are continually working on a programme of development with their shock mitigation seating range which are currently in use by many customers around the world, including several military applications as well as search & rescue craft, and coastguard forces.
