Scot Seats working to protect passengers with Reflex Marine

Scot Seats has been working with Reflex Marine who have developed a prototype XT1 single person transfer device, which is an extension of the range of their crane access systems.  The XT1 is part of a winch-based access system Reflex Marine are developing for offshore wind turbine maintenance crews.  They have been using Scot Seats shock mitigation technology as part of the passenger protection when landing the capsule on a heaving deck.

The seat used is a S2J jockey seat mechanism which is fitted with a FOX FLOAT 3 Air Shocks.  The FOX FLOAT 3 Air Shock is tuned specifically by FOX Defence to work with the Scot Seat range of shock mitigation seating. The Float with its progressive air spring gives a bottomless feel to the seat while using the least amount of suspension travel.

Andrews Grimes from Reflex Marine commented, “The XT1 has undergone initial testing and the Scot Seat has performed excellently.”

The XT1 will be on-board the Seacat Courageous at the Seawork International show which is on berth V27.
